Four years ago, Kristine Claire Jimenez (extreme   right)  was one of the silent students in the corner;   however, her creative imagination makes an   extraordinary blare. On March 8, 2018, Kristine   graduated  with the degree: Bachelor in Animation   at SAE Institute. She said that high school ICT   classes had introduced to her the concept of   Graphic Design and Digital Arts.

“I did more research on possible directions that I   could take. It eventually led me to animation, and I fell in love with the idea of creating things beyond the limits of reality. In high school, I felt most comfortable during Art classes, so I joined the Art’s club. I drew and sketched a lot during free time on campus, and I enjoyed doing crafts. During those years, I already knew that I wanted to take an art-related course,” she said.

Jimenez mentioned that the biggest challenge she had to face in college was the amount of work. “Studying animation was fun, but along with it came late nights in campus, to use facilities and to stay until early morning to meet deadlines. Our work required a lot of waiting for computers to render or to complete at the end of every project, and despite the anxiety in waiting, it also helped us to develop patience,” she added.

She shared practical ways to handle the stressful processes of the course, like adjusting schedules to finish earlier, which leaves more time in case something needs to be fixed.

“When there are too much to handle, praying to God and talking to people significantly helps. At the end of all restlessness, the results of our hard work always gave us a feeling of satisfaction and pride,” Jimenez concluded.
